Earlier this year, a remarkable musical family approached CASA Lake County with a generous offer: to donate their time and talents for an evening of classical music in support of children in foster care.
Soprano Dr. You-Seong Kim, Director of Vocal Studies at North Park University, and conductor and violinist Dr. Jun Y. Kim, Director of Orchestral Activities at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, will lead an inspiring program alongside their son, Noah Kim, a pianist and Scholarship Fellow at the Music Institute of Chicago Academy—one of the nation’s premier pre-college conservatory programs.
They will be joined by talented young musicians from the Academy, including members of the Avelira Quartet—Olivia Zheng (violin), Alexandra Dreesen (violin), Ruoyi Wu (cello), and Elliot Jung (piano)—bringing together accomplished performers and the next generation of classical artists.
Their generosity inspired us to create Concert for CASA, a special evening of music dedicated to supporting the children we serve. Held during Child Abuse Prevention Month, this event is both a celebration of artistry and a powerful reminder of the impact a community can make when it comes together.
We invite you to join us for this meaningful evening—experience beautiful music and help make a difference in the lives of children who need a voice.
100% of proceeds from registrations and donations support our work to ensure that every child has a voice in court.
Special thanks to North Suburban Church for generously providing the venue.
Concert length: Approximately 1 hour
Parking: Free, in church lot
Light refreshments will be served following the concert.
