Brightening holidays for children in foster care

Each year, our community comes together to ensure that every child we serve receives a gift chosen just for them—something that brings joy, dignity, and hope during the holiday season. This year, our annual Holiday Giving Tree Drive will run from Wednesday November 19 through Monday December 15.

Across Lake County, generous local businesses are hosting Giving Trees filled with wish list tags for CASA children and youth. These wish lists include items such as clothing, coats, boots, shoes, toys, and other essentials that help brighten the holidays for the children we advocate for. View participating businesses.

Community members are invited to select a tag, fulfill a request, and return the item to the same location by December 15. For those who prefer to give from home, Amazon and Target e-gift cards are also welcome. These gift cards help us purchase any remaining wish list items to ensure every child receives something special.

This project reflects the heart of the season—neighbors supporting neighbors, businesses opening their doors, and volunteers dedicating their time to make something meaningful happen for children in foster care. We extend our sincerest gratitude to each participating business and to our remarkable volunteers, whose commitment makes this large-scale effort possible each year.

Together, our community can make the holidays brighter for children in foster care. We are deeply grateful for everyone who helps bring warmth, joy, and hope to the children we serve through the Holiday Giving Tree Drive.
