Our Mission
CASA Lake County exists to promote and protect the best interests of youth who have been considered to be abused, neglected or dependent. We train and empower volunteers to advocate for them in the courts and in the community to help them safely return to their families, or when not possible, help them achieve safe and permanent homes where they can thrive.
Our CASA program belongs to a network of nearly 950 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities.

Kaydra Sutherland, former foster youth
"It is important to note just how meaningful CASA is to young youth in care. While I had three different GALs (child lawyers) and I can’t even count the number of caseworkers, the only person that stayed the same was my CASA, Lynnae. Without her, I would have remained in that terrible foster placement, but I didn’t. We fought side-by-side for years and I owe her a debt I know I will never repay."
When Lexi and Skylar’s world was turned upside down, CASA Amy stepped in. She guided their family through the hardest moments, supported Chrissy in recovery, and helped reunite a mother with her children. This is the impact of CASA — changing lives, one child at a time.
